Departing Monday 11th April 2022 for 16 or 20 days
We are offering up two itinerary options. One is for the trek with a visit to see some of our charity projects and stay in a rural environment, and the second is for those whose time is limited and wish only to do the trek and then return to the UK. Our main village for our charity projects is Rajabas and is 6 to 8 hours out of Kathmandu in the Kavre region of Nepal; about 50 miles from the Tibetan border at Kodari.
The full itinerary is 20 nights in Nepal.
This consists of –
3 nights Hotel in Kathmandu before the trek
11 nights in trekking lodges in the Everest region
2 nights Hotel back in Kathmandu
3 nights in rooms at our Rajabas Hospital
1 last night in hotel room in Kathmandu
The trek only itinerary is 16 nights in Nepal.
This consists of –
3 nights Hotel in Kathmandu before the trek
11 nights in trekking lodges in the Everest region
2 nights Hotel back in Kathmandu
Why April?
There are only 2 trekking seasons in Nepal. From December through to mid March its too cold. From early May to mid September its monsoon and there are no mountain views. So the 2 trekking seasons are late march to early May and mid September to end November. For the expeditions summiting Everest their very limited window is early May and they are there all April so when we visit Base Camp it will be bustling with activity. In Autumn Base Camp is pretty much empty
Dates and Flights
The dates for the full trip are a departure date of Monday 11th April from Manchester arriving back in Manchester on Tuesday 3rd May. The price we will quote you will be for the Nepal trip only. The flights UK to Nepal you will buy separately.
Costs
For the trek only itinerary is £1,650 plus sponsorship (no minimum)
If any of you have done your homework you will see that most charity treks on the Internet charge in and around the £3000 mark for the trek itself. They put a lot of pressure on clients to raise big funds. We don’t believe in doing that. We at Love Nepal ask for no minimum amount you need to raise but ask you also to be fair on us also.
For the full itinerary the cost is a little extra to the £1650 but not too much. About £55 in total if you’re happy to go to Rajabas on the local bus (one for the adventurous) and about £115 in total if you wish to go by 4-wheel drive (minimum 5 people required for this).
So what’s included
Airport pick-up and drop-off at Hotel
Bed and Breakfast in Kathmandu at Kasthamandap Hotel

Flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and return
Guides and porters and all costs related to them
Trekking permits, National Park fees and Govt taxes
What’s not

International flights
Travel Insurance

Bottled drinks on the trek
Tips for guides and porters
Nepal Visas can be obtained on arrival. It is $40 for 30 days. I will ensure everyone has all the relevant forms already completed for our arrival
For those who know me no introduction required. For those who don’t my name is Gary Collier. I have been up to and guided many groups in the Everest since 2004. I will be with you the whole trip. We will have Nepali guides and porters but there’s no substitute for having western experience in there also. I will ensure your trip goes as smoothly and successfully as possible and be there to sort any problems along the way should they arise
For those who would like it I am more than happy over the next 14 months to organise training walks in the Lake districts and such. These are great for fitness also to get to know some of your fellow trekkers in advance
I am also more than happy to help people with kit lists and advice for what’s worth taking along.
